Promotion and sales of all MAN Energy Solutions engine power plant products to current and potential clients in the region. Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers and identify new prospects. Project development from the earliest lead stage to order intake. Provide support in preparing market surveys, reports, and updates to the organization. Planning order intake for the specific market segments. Analyzing tendering documentation. Cooperation with tendering and technical departments within MAN. Calculation of quotes with in-house software tools. Bid management including technical and commercial aspects. Perform risk management. Support the marketing department with market data/information. Follow the agreed reporting line by means of the available tools. Building customer relationships from prospecting to closing as assigned by the Business Unit. Manage receivables of own specified customers. Respond promptly to customer inquiries and specified clients. Provide superior customer satisfaction and loyalty. Collect & communicate market intelligence and competitor activities. Maintain and update customer information through the given tools. Manage professional relationships with support organizations within the company. Perform sales activities according to company directives and guidelines. Identify customer needs and contribute to the development of new products and services. Develop own competence in the product portfolio. Ensure customer inquiries, orders, and complaints are handled promptly and satisfactorily. Demonstrate products using samples or presentations, emphasizing saleable features. Quote prices, contract terms, estimated delivery dates, and credit terms as assigned. Prepare and negotiate sales contracts for orders obtained. Prepare reports of business transactions. Maintain reports and database records of customer contacts, activities, and transactions. Provide technical sales assistance for power applications. Required Education
Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Required Experience
Approximately 5 years of related experience as a Sales Manager or Business Development in the energy/power generation sector. Other Skills
Understanding of power plants and service business, both technical and commercial. General computer skills. Knowledge of generator portfolios of major turbine and engine manufacturers. Physical Requirements
Primarily sitting for extended periods working with a computer. Domestic and foreign travel required. Employment Details
