American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro Telemetry position requiring Level 1 trauma experience and night shift availability.Job Details•Position is located on a Neuro Telemetry unit in an acute care hospital with 32 beds,•Serves adult neurological and telemetry patients, including cases such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal surgery, encephalopathy, ESRD, and brain tumors,•Patient ratio is typically 1:4,•Central monitoring is used for telemetry; EKG interpretation required,•Must be able to titrate drips, including Amiodarone, Cardizem, insulin, and heparin,•Uses Cerner EMR; experience with Cerner and workstations on wheels (WOWs) is expected,•Shift is 12-hour nights, 7pm to 7am,•Must work 4 weekend shifts every 4 weeks and 2 of 4 major holidays,•Floating required to other telemetry units and telemetry overflow in ICU,•Two-day floor-specific orientation provided,Job Requirements•Active RN license (state or compact) required at time of consideration,•Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN, with Level 1 trauma experience required,•Current BLS and ACLS certifications required,•Must pass pre-employment dysrhythmia exam and sterile technique skills assessment (2 attempts allowed),•Ability to interpret telemetry and EKG readings required,•Must provide a driver's license for address verification; candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility,•Two professional references required: one supervisor from the last 12 months and one supervisor or peer from the last 3 years,•Cannot have been employed full time, part time, or PRN by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity within the past year,Additional Information•Expected to perform Foley catheter insertions and central line dressing changes ensuring sterile technique,•Charge nurse present on the unit with a light patient assignment and nurse aides available for support,•Bedside shift reports and fast-paced, high turnover environment,•Must pass a skills simulation lab on day one,•Steel gray scrubs required,•Clean-shaven policy for men due to fit testing; natural hair color and no facial piercings required,•Average patient length of stay is 4-5 days,•IV team (SWAT RN), RT, and pharmacy support available 24/7,•Holiday shifts rotate as part of the regular schedule,•Role is not open to local candidates within 50 miles,),•hash,:•14919095465769858871,
