We are seeking an experienced
Asset Manager
with a minimum of 5 years in IT asset management to oversee software, hardware, and equipment lifecycles. The ideal candidate will have expertise with BMC Remedy (or similar ITSM tools), strong CMDB knowledge, and proven experience implementing asset management processes in a complex environment. Key Responsibilities Serve as the backup Asset Manager and ensure continuity of operations. Develop and implement processes for tracking and analyzing software, hardware, and equipment assets throughout their lifecycle. Provide operational and maintenance support for Asset Management modules in BMC Remedy and ServiceNow, including troubleshooting and issue resolution. Conduct annual inventory audits and establish standardized processes for accuracy and consistency. Perform bulk asset data uploads and maintain data integrity. Identify and resolve asset data discrepancies through audits. Maintain asset-related foundation data and develop reports for management and end-users. Manage user accounts, site information, hardware/product categorizations, and support groups. Participate in user acceptance testing for asset management tools and processes. Oversee fixed and floating licensing for the Asset Management module. Create end-user documentation and deliver training sessions. Required Qualifications 5+ years as an Asset Manager. 2+ years of experience with BMC Remedy (version 20.02) or equivalent ITSM tools. ITIL Foundation Certification. Strong knowledge of CMDB, asset management methodologies, industry best practices, and tools. Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills; able to manage and facilitate meetings effectively. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Outstanding customer service skills when engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams. Preferred Qualifications Experience with ServiceNow in addition to BMC Remedy. Prior experience with large-scale IT asset lifecycle management in enterprise or government environments.
