Position Overview
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is seeking an experienced
Asset Manager
to oversee hardware, software, and equipment lifecycle management. The role requires strong knowledge of
BMC Remedy (20.02)
or equivalent ITSM tools, ITIL best practices, and asset management methodologies. This hybrid position requires
onsite presence twice a week
(Tuesdays and Wednesdays) at The Keystone Building, Harrisburg, PA, and occasional additional onsite meetings as needed.
This position involves significant training, so candidates must be located
within one hour of Harrisburg, PA
to ensure consistent attendance.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as back-up Asset Manager for PennDOT IT operations. Develop and implement processes for tracking and analyzing software, hardware, and equipment throughout the lifecycle. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to Asset Management modules in Remedy and ServiceNow. Conduct annual inventory audits and create standard operating procedures. Perform bulk uploads of asset data and conduct data accuracy audits. Maintain asset-related foundation data, create reports, and develop user accounts and categorizations. Participate in user acceptance testing for new implementations. Manage fixed and floating software licensing. Create end-user documentation and deliver training sessions. Required Skills & Qualifications
5+ years
of Asset Manager experience. 2-4 years
with BMC Remedy (version 20.02) or equivalent ITSM tool. ITIL Foundation Certification
required. Strong working knowledge of CMDB, asset management tools, methodologies, and best practices. Excellent communication (listening, verbal, written) and meeting facilitation skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities successfully. Proven customer service skills across IT teams and stakeholders. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams. Additional Details

Tuesdays & Wednesdays weekly, plus first-day reporting for processing, badging, and equipment pickup. Interview Process:
Virtual via Microsoft Teams. Candidate must present a valid photo ID at the start of the interview and pan the camera 360° to verify they are alone. Start Date:
ASAP pending PATCH clearance. Travel Restriction:
Must be within 1 hour of Harrisburg, PA.
