Job Description:
As an Asset Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining, tracking, and optimizing IT assets throughout their lifecycle. This position requires expertise in asset management methodologies, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with ITSM tools. You will ensure asset data accuracy, develop, and implement processes, and provide operational support while collaborating across IT teams to deliver high-quality service and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the back-up Asset Manager to ensure continuity of asset management operations. Develop and implement processes for tracking and analyzing software, hardware, and equipment through the lifecycle. Provide operational and maintenance support, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to the Asset Management module in Remedy and ServiceNow. Conduct annual inventory audits and establish processes for consistency and compliance. Perform bulk uploads, audits, and maintenance of asset data and foundation information. Create and manage user accounts, site details, hardware/product categorizations, and support groups. Generate asset reports for both end users and management. Participate in user acceptance testing for system enhancements. Manage fixed and floating licensing for the Asset Management Module. Create end-user documentation and deliver training sessions to support system adoption. Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:
ITIL Foundation Certification. 2-4 years' experience with BMC Remedy (version 20.02) or equivalent ITSM tool. Strong working knowledge of CMDB, asset management methodology, and industry best practices. Excellent communication skills (listening, verbal, and written) with experience in meeting management and facilitation. Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results. Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across IT roles. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $55.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
