The University of Nevada, Reno seeks an Admissions and Records Assistant 1 to join the Enrollment Services team. This position is responsible for processing applications and supporting documents in PeopleSoft and OnBase, entering evaluation results to update student statuses, and initiating communications to applicants. Key Responsibilities: Process applications and upload supporting documents into university databases. Enter evaluation results in PeopleSoft to update records and trigger communications. Complete assigned queries and reports on schedule; reconcile student records. Provide accurate information, guidance, and customer service to prospective/current students and parents. Make residency determinations in accordance with university catalog guidelines. Evaluate domestic and international academic transcripts for undergraduate admissions. Independently assess international transcripts to determine accreditation and credit equivalency. Ensure all applications meet minimum university standards. Serve as an expert resource on international credential evaluation. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: Graduation from high school or equivalent education and one (1) year of general clerical experience which included maintaining records and public contact; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. Schedule: The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; this is subject to change based on organizational needs. Compensation Grade: Grade 23 (Entry, Step 01 $18.88/hr.
Step 03 $20.42/hr.) In classified service, salary is in Grade and Step. The Step is determined based on the Nevada Administrative Code. Salary placement above a Step 01 at initial appointment is determined based on the recruitment, the candidate's qualifications, internal equity and budgets. A request to accelerate salary must be approved by Human Resources and abide by the Nevada Administrative Code.
