American Traveler is hiring experienced RNs for a Telemetry unit night shift position requiring a BSN, 2 years of Telemetry experience, and strong cardiac care skills.Job Details•Work in a 27-bed (expanding to 37-bed) Telemetry unit within an acute care hospital,•Care for cardiac and medical patients including CHF, NSTEMI, STEMI, stroke, sepsis, diabetes, CAD, renal and respiratory failure, pneumothorax, and post-cath lab patients,•Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4,•12 hour night shifts (3x12), schedule is based on unit needs and may be flexible to accommodate requests,•Weekend and holiday coverage required to meet unit needs,•Use Epic EMR; current monitors are SpaceLab, transitioning to Philips,•RNs read and document telemetry every 6 hours; tele techs on floor until June then transition to centralized off-site monitoring,•CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow managed by RT,•Travelers may float to Med/Surg and like units at Boise and Nampa campuses, and to ICU if experienced,•No call or standby requirements,Job Requirements•Active RN license required,•Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required,•Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry nursing experience,•Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required,•Must have experience with cardiac drips, NIH stroke assessment, post-cath recovery, and chest tubes,•Experience with TR bands and Fem stops preferred but not required,•Epic charting experience strongly preferred,•Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility for consideration,Additional Information•Primary responsibilities include comprehensive telemetry and cardiac monitoring, stroke assessments, and managing post-cath lab and high-acuity patients,•Charge nurse and house supervisor provide support and do not take patient assignments,•Nurse aides present on unit with a ratio of 1:8/9,•System onboarding includes 2 orientation shifts specific to the department,•Professional, clean scrubs of any color are permitted,•First-time travelers are not excluded unless otherwise noted,),•hash,:•11323935978278589211,
