Job Description:
This job is responsible for leading a function dedicated to designing a strategy to drive internal control discipline and operational excellence within a Line of Business (LOB) or Enterprise Control Function (ECF). Key responsibilities include ensuring capabilities are in place to drive the day-to-day execution of the Operational Risk Management Framework, including the implementation of LOB and ECF specific processes and tools to drive adherence to enterprise-wide standards. Job expectations include providing oversight and establishing effective quality assurance and control processes. Team Specific Job Description: The Global Third Party Program (GTPP) organization oversees execution of Bank of America’s Global Third Party Program requirements and is responsible for enterprise procurement, sourcing, third party management, and for ensuring effective third party risk management across the enterprise. This role will be responsible for leading governance and oversight of the Enterprise Contract Management program, where the Bank is acting as a vendor of significant services and products. Responsibilities: Engages with stakeholders to identify issues and control improvements for remediation and ensures issue resolution Acts as an ambassador of the risk culture, monitoring and reporting on the Line of Business or Enterprise Control Function's Operational Risk Profile Oversees the assessment of the design and effectiveness of the risk and control environment to support Client Operational Services and ensure adherence to enterprise-wide standards Oversees the implementation of optimized controls and enhanced Quality Assurance (QA) practices to support business continuity efforts Ensures timely execution of QA activities including control execution, case management, and results reporting Oversees all operations front line unit responses for regulatory exams, internal audits, and other monitoring and inspection reviews Leads the Enterprise Contract Management team in a business control and oversight capacity overseeing the Enterprise Contract Management program and framework Drives program deliverables and requirements of FLUs who provide client services externally to Bank of America (acting in a vendor capacity) Owns and oversees the Enterprise Contract Management policy and supporting standard Ensures effective execution of quality assurance activities to support oversight of program requirements Drives communication and engagement with business partners through regular governance routines Ensures regulatory deliverables and obligations are met with flawless quality and on-time delivery Skills: Controls Management Oral Communications Risk Management Stakeholder Management Strategy Planning and Development Continuous Improvement Drives Engagement Influence Strategic Thinking Talent Development Data and Trend Analysis Decision Making Problem Solving Quality Assurance Required Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in financial services industry 5+ years business controls, risk management or related experience Critical thinker with the ability to influence senior leaders across GTPP and partners to challenge the status quo, implement transformative changes and drive outcomes Strong analytical and organizational skills; focus on attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong horizontal leadership skills across peers; an individual who can indirectly and inspire a strong sense of camaraderie, accountability and motivate continuous improvements to performance Able to attract, retain and develop top talent, strong peer coach Effectively packages and communicates complex content and information for management and Board of Directors Proven leadership experience driving transformative change with strong track record of successful results Strong analytical skills, with an investigative mindset and ability to use data to enhance efficiency and develop reporting to drive business insights Desired Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in financial services industry or experience in a related field Previous experience driving business processes tied to regulatory requirements and ongoing obligations Experience / knowledge of Third Party Program a plus Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience Shift: 1st shift (United States of America)
