About Us

We are a dynamic and expanding construction company specializing in high-quality commercial and residential projects. Were seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team and lead financial operations with precision and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the general ledger, including monthly closings, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements and reports for management.
• Oversee job costing and project-based accounting, ensuring accurate WIP reporting.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with tax filings and assist with year-end audits and liaising with external CPA firms.
• Monitor cash flow and provide regular updates to senior leadership.
• Recommend and implement accounting process improvements and internal controls.
• Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules.
• Ensure adherence to GAAP and construction-specific accounting standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
• Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience; at least 2 years in the construction industry required.
• Strong understanding of job costing, WIP reports, and construction contracts.
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage 300, or similar).
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
