36 hours/week, every other weekend, first to float
Requirements
Experience:
Minimum 2 years (must include LDRP or L&D with OR circulating). Will not accept postpartum-only backgrounds.
Certifications:
ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced EFM
License:
Active California RN license (state-specific) References:
2 supervisor references required (charge accepted) – 1 within last 12 months & 1 within past 3 years.
Unit Details
Beds:
2 OBED, 7 LDRP, 4–8 overflow postpartum, 1 OR suite for C-sections
Births:
70–80 per month
Antepartum Testing:
60–70 NSTs per month
Ratios:
Labor 1:2, Delivery 1:1, Mother/Baby couplets 1:4 Deliveries:
35 weeks and above, twin deliveries possible;
Skills Required:
Must be comfortable with NRP at delivery; “catching the baby” experience strongly preferred

Cerner (EFM system: Fetalink) Monitors:
GE fetal monitors (nurses must interpret EKG) Drips:
Titrate Pitocin (frequent), occasional insulin
