About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to lead clinical operations at its premier children's hospital. The CNO will be responsible for shaping the future of neonatal, pediatric, and maternal care in the region, with a focus on high-acuity services. This strategic and compassionate nursing executive will lead nursing and patient care operations, ensuring clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and driving quality outcomes. Key responsibilities include overseeing a significant number of inpatient beds, including ICU and medical-surgical beds, and supporting operations in the pediatric emergency department. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, a Master’s degree in Nursing or a related health field, and a current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license, with a minimum of 5 years of nursing leadership experience, particularly in Women’s and Children’s acute care.
The successful CNO will be a key member of the executive team, with a collaborative and team-oriented approach, and a commitment to patient- and family-centered care. They must have a proven track record in leading teams, improving clinical performance, and implementing system-wide initiatives. Strategic leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to inspire high-performing teams are essential. The role also involves championing shared governance, nursing professional development, and promoting partnerships with community organizations to enhance care coordination and population health. The CNO will work closely with senior hospital leadership and be a pivotal figure in the newly expanded pediatric tower and emergency department.
