About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer to join their team. The CMO will play a pivotal role in the leadership, direction, and strategy of the clinical enterprise, with a strong focus on driving clinical excellence, quality improvement, and patient safety. This executive will be responsible for advancing physician engagement, developing medical staff leaders, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care and ethical practices are upheld. The CMO will also oversee various medical staff functions, including credentialing, privileging, and recruiting, and will be a key figure in the Medical Board and Medical Executive Committee.

Candidates for the Chief Medical Officer position at the company should possess a Doctor of Medicine degree, with a preference for an advanced degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or public health. A minimum of 10 years' post-graduate clinical experience, with a significant focus on quality improvement, safety, and performance, is required. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as a physician leader, be adept at communication, delegation, and holding individuals accountable, and have the ability to work across clinical service lines with a high degree of transparency. Advanced analytical, financial, and project management skills are essential, as is the ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement and to mentor and coach other physicians in leadership development.
