This position operates various medical devices, computers, and equipment to deliver high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of handling radioactive materials and nuclear instrumentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform scintigraphic scanning as prescribed by the physician.
  • Manipulate images and conduct quantitative studies, ensuring accurate data is archived on the computer.
  • Prepare and store radioactive and non-radioactive materials for patient doses, guaranteeing availability and proper administration.
  • Maintain quality control and perform routine maintenance procedures for scanning equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards.
  • Consult with physicians to provide image analysis and support in interpreting patient data.
  • Administer diagnostic or therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals under the direction of a licensed physician.
  • Demonstrate empathy and effective communication skills when interacting with patients, providing personalized education, assessment, and care.

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree (Required)
  • ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • BLS - Basic Life Support
  • CNMT - Certified Nuclear Medical Technologist
  • NMTCB - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board

Additional Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved training program in Nuclear Medicine Technology
  • Registered with NMTCB as a CNMT or ARRT in Nuclear Medicine Technology
  • ODH Radiologic License as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • BLS Certification

Work Environment:

  • Variable shift schedule
  • As needed weekly hours
