This position operates various medical devices, computers, and equipment to deliver high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of handling radioactive materials and nuclear instrumentation.
Responsibilities:
- Perform scintigraphic scanning as prescribed by the physician.
- Manipulate images and conduct quantitative studies, ensuring accurate data is archived on the computer.
- Prepare and store radioactive and non-radioactive materials for patient doses, guaranteeing availability and proper administration.
- Maintain quality control and perform routine maintenance procedures for scanning equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards.
- Consult with physicians to provide image analysis and support in interpreting patient data.
- Administer diagnostic or therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals under the direction of a licensed physician.
- Demonstrate empathy and effective communication skills when interacting with patients, providing personalized education, assessment, and care.
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree (Required)
- ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- BLS - Basic Life Support
- CNMT - Certified Nuclear Medical Technologist
- NMTCB - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board
Additional Requirements:
- Graduate of an approved training program in Nuclear Medicine Technology
- Registered with NMTCB as a CNMT or ARRT in Nuclear Medicine Technology
- ODH Radiologic License as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- BLS Certification
