Radiation Therapist
Wellness and sickness are interconnected components of a lifelong journey.
As a Radiation Therapist, you will be responsible for operating various medical devices, including imaging equipment, computers, ECG units, laboratory apparatus, dose calibrators, and radiation survey instruments.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conducting scintigraphic scans according to physician prescriptions
- Image manipulation and quantitative analysis
- Preparing radioactive and non-radioactive substances for patient dosages
- Maintaining and monitoring the quality of scanning equipment
- Collaborating with physicians to provide high-quality data for interpretation
- Administering diagnostic or therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals/pharmaceuticals under physician supervision
- Developing strong relationships with patients through empathetic communication
Essential Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in a relevant field
- Registration with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- ODH Radiologic License as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- BLS Certification
- Proficiency in Nuclear Medicine department operations
