Radiation Therapist

Wellness and sickness are interconnected components of a lifelong journey.

As a Radiation Therapist, you will be responsible for operating various medical devices, including imaging equipment, computers, ECG units, laboratory apparatus, dose calibrators, and radiation survey instruments.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conducting scintigraphic scans according to physician prescriptions
  • Image manipulation and quantitative analysis
  • Preparing radioactive and non-radioactive substances for patient dosages
  • Maintaining and monitoring the quality of scanning equipment
  • Collaborating with physicians to provide high-quality data for interpretation
  • Administering diagnostic or therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals/pharmaceuticals under physician supervision
  • Developing strong relationships with patients through empathetic communication

Essential Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in a relevant field
  • Registration with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • ODH Radiologic License as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • BLS Certification
  • Proficiency in Nuclear Medicine department operations
