Position Summary: We are seeking a qualified Surgical Technologist to join a vibrant healthcare team dedicated to providing exceptional surgical care in a culturally rich environment. This role involves working within a comprehensive health center that serves a diverse community, including various Native American tribes. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in positioning, surgical prepping, and draping of patients for surgical procedures.- Prepare an operating room before surgery, ensuring all necessary equipment and instrumentation are available and functional.- Support surgical teams in a variety of specialties including General Surgery, Orthopedic, Otolaryngology, Ophthalmology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Podiatry, and Urology, catering to both adult and pediatric patients.- Participate in rotational scheduling and on-call coverage (nights, weekends, and holidays) after completing established training and examinations. Qualifications: - Completion of an approved Surgical Technician training program accredited by the Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) or on-the-job training in a clinical healthcare setting or military specialty.- Certification required within 6 months after qualifying from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or current certification from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).- Must maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association throughout employment.
