The ideal candidate will be proficient in a variety of endoscopic procedures and have a strong commitment to patient care. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in surgical procedures, specifically in endoscopy including Colonoscopies, EGDs, ERCPs, and foreign body removals.- Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other medical staff to provide optimal patient care.- Prepare and maintain the operating room environment, including cleaning and care of scopes and instruments, and handling pathology specimens.- Proficiently assist with biopsies and the use of balloon dilators during procedures.- Ensure high-level disinfection (HLD) of equipment and adherence to infection control protocols.- Utilize Cerner EMR for charting and documentation. Qualifications: - Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist, particularly in endoscopy.- BLS certification is required.- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.- Ability to work one weekend per month on average and participate in on-call duties for evening, overnight, holiday, and weekend shifts.- Experience with Bronchoscopy, Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), and Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) is a bonus.- Must hold a valid State License (FL or compact). Special Requirements: - COVID-19 vaccination is required (with exemptions accepted for medical or religious reasons).- No requests for time off will be accepted in the contract; any time off must be discussed with the unit manager on site.
