This position requires a minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in the CST specialty prior to beginning travel assignments. Candidates must possess an active Ohio license at the time of submission, along with the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) certification. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in surgical procedures by maintaining a sterile environment, preparing instruments and equipment, and ensuring supplies are readily available.- Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare team members to provide high-quality patient care.- Perform all necessary tasks to support surgical teams, including equipment maintenance and sterilization processes.- Participate in patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical experience.- Take part in call duties as needed, which may require up to 12 hours per week on weekdays and 24 hours every six weeks on weekends. Requirements: - Minimum 18 months of permanent experience in surgical technology.- Active CST certification from NBSTSA in hand.- Current AHA BLS certification.- Experience in various surgical settings including Trauma Level I and II preferred.- Strong communication and teamwork skills.- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call shifts when required. Additional Information: - BCI/FBI background checks are required and must be completed within 48 hours of signing the contract.- Candidates will need to pick up their badges and complete onsite fingerprints prior to their start date.- A nicotine-free environment is required, except for nurses and CSTs exempt from this requirement until further notice.At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
