The Department of Neurology at the University of Minnesota Medical School and UMPhysicians is recruiting a full-time neuro-hospitalist to provide clinical neurology services. This hospital-based position involves inpatient neurology at the University of Minnesota Medical Center and associated MHealth Fairview community hospitals. Call coverage includes days, evenings, and weekends, shared with a team of 3-4 neuro-hospitalists and clinical neurology providers. The role includes teaching and supervising medical students and residents, with opportunities for collaboration with neuroscience physicians and researchers. This position is annually appointed on the Master Clinician Track at a faculty rank commensurate with experience and education. Scholarly activities will focus on teaching, quality improvement, and care model optimization, with opportunities to develop and lead a neurohospitalist fellowship within MHealth Fairview hospitals. Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Neurology residency program and Board Certified or Board Prepared with the American Board of Medical Specialties or American Osteopathic Association Licensed or eligible for Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure Ability to obtain and maintain DEA certification for Minnesota Meet credentialing and privileges criteria Excellent teaching and interpersonal skills Neurohospitalist fellowship training not required Pay and Benefits

This role is jointly employed by the University of Minnesota and UM Physicians. The salary at the University begins at $55,000, dependent on academic effort. Clinical salary is provided through UM Physicians, with total compensation competitive and benchmarked against AAMC standards.
