Job Description
The Department of Neurology at the University of Minnesota Medical School and UMPhysicians is recruiting a full-time neuro-hospitalist to provide clinical neurology services. This hospital-based position involves inpatient neurology at the University of Minnesota Medical Center and associated MHealth Fairview community hospitals. Call coverage includes days, evenings, and weekends, shared with a team of neuro-hospitalists and clinical neurology providers. The role also involves teaching and supervising medical students and residents, with opportunities to collaborate with neuroscience physicians and researchers. This position is annually appointed on the Master Clinician Track at a faculty rank commensurate with experience and education. Scholarly activities focus on teaching, quality improvement, and care model optimization. There is potential to develop and lead a neurohospitalist fellowship within the MHealth Fairview hospitals. Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Neurology residency program; Board Certified or Board Prepared with the American Board of Medical Specialties or American Osteopathic Association Licensed or eligible for Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure Ability to obtain and maintain DEA certification for Minnesota Meet credentialing and privileges requirements Excellent teaching and interpersonal skills Neurohospitalist fellowship training not required Pay and Benefits:
This role is jointly employed by University of Minnesota Physicians and the University of Minnesota. The salary is competitive and based on AAMC benchmarks, ranging from
$218,757 - $344,326 , depending on experience and qualifications. The salary from the University depends on academic effort.
