Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative
plays a critical role in creating a welcoming environment while collecting and preparing blood specimens for lab analysis. This role ensures high-quality service and specimen integrity while fostering patient trust during health-related interactions. Assigned work settings may include patient service centers, physician offices, or other designated locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform accurate, timely daily activities under supervision. Maintain a clean, safe, and
professional work environment . Carry out forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing procedures. Verify patient identity , demographics, and signatures post-collection. Record and maintain documentation as required. Promote a positive company image to patients, clients, and peers. Required Experience:
Three (3) years of phlebotomy experience including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary draws. Experience working in a
Patient Service Center
setting. Customer service experience in healthcare, retail, or service environments. Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Nice-to-Have Experience:
Medical assistant or paramedic training. Data entry and keyboard proficiency. Required Skills:
Phlebotomy (including pediatric and geriatric) Confidentiality and accuracy in handling patient data Strong multitasking in high-volume settings Preferred Skills:
Customer service focus Adaptability to
schedule changes
(weekends, holidays, overtime) Independent decision-making Reliable transportation and clean driving record Flexibility to float across multiple sites Additional Skills:
Specimen labeling and verification Familiarity with internal policies (e.g., dress code, safety) Embraces change and demonstrates leadership behaviors Benefits:
