Phlebotomist / Patient Services Representative
is the frontline representative for patients, delivering high-quality blood collection and specimen preparation services in a safe, accurate, and compassionate manner. This role creates an atmosphere of trust, provides excellent patient care, and ensures compliance with established practices and confidentiality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients and explain blood draw procedures clearly and professionally. Collect high-quality blood specimens from pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing while maintaining accuracy. Maintain a professional and safe work environment following compliance regulations. Keep accurate and timely records, documentation, and logs. Support weekend, holiday, and overtime staffing needs when required. Uphold organizational values and promote a positive image to patients and clients. Required Experience:
Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience Customer service experience in healthcare, retail, or service environment preferred Data entry and keyboarding experience required Nice-to-Have Experience:
1+ years of phlebotomy experience Medical assistant or paramedic background Required Skills:
Excellent phlebotomy skills (pediatric & geriatric) Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Preferred Skills:
Phlebotomy certification (required in CA, NV, WA; preferred in IL) Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment Additional Skills:
Leadership behaviors with process excellence focus Organizational skills and adaptability to changing workflows Education:
High school diploma or GED required Additional medical training or certification in phlebotomy preferred Benefits:
