The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as a
critical touchpoint for patients and healthcare providers , ensuring high-quality and safe specimen collection while fostering trust and professionalism. Assigned to early morning shifts, this role requires top-tier customer service and organizational skill in a fast-paced, patient-focused clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Collect clinical and forensic blood specimens in a skillful and safe manner. Verify and label specimens in the presence of patients following ID protocols. Maintain accurate records and documentation per company and lab policies. Uphold a professional environment in compliance with safety and patient care guidelines. Travel between sites as needed and flex based on staffing demands. Promote a positive company image to patients and the public. Support emergency fill needs and high-priority client accounts. Required Experience
High school diploma or equivalent. Three (3) years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric draws. Two (2) years in a Patient Service Center preferred. Strong data entry and keyboarding experience. Customer service experience (retail or healthcare preferred). Nice-to-Have Experience
Medical assistant or paramedic background. Multi-site phlebotomy or floating tech roles. Bilingual language skills. Required Skills
Expert-level venipuncture Patient education and communication Multitasking in high-volume environments Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if required) Preferred Skills
Adaptability to changing locations and urgent client needs HIP nd patient confidentiality knowledge Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Additional Skills
Early morning shift readiness Critical thinking and decision-making under protocol Organizational loyalty and customer-first attitude
