About the Role The Company is seeking a Portfolio Analyst with a focus on commercial real estate and real estate-owned portfolios. The successful candidate will be a key contributor, providing technical fluency in commercial real estate, credit fixed-income assets, and capital markets. Responsibilities include managing and monitoring commercial real estate mandates, conducting in-depth financial analysis, and supporting the development of investment theses. The role also involves collaborating with the investment team, overseeing properties, and actively monitoring loan asset-level performance. The ideal candidate will have a background in institutional investment, with a strong understanding of the monitoring and oversight requirements for insurance company investment portfolios.
Candidates for this role at The Company should have a minimum of 6 years' of direct experience, with 3-5 years' specifically in portfolio analysis or management support within the commercial real estate sector. An undergraduate degree in a relevant field is required, with a Master's degree and/or CFA being a plus. The role demands a professional with a proven track record in financial modeling, CRE loan and property financial analyses, and a deep understanding of commercial real estate capital markets. Experience in investment accounting, tax, legal, and regulatory matters related to real estate and commercial loans is highly valued. The candidate must be adept at managing data, have advanced Excel skills, and possess excellent communication, critical thinking, and analytical abilities. Experience with Japanese insurance company investing and regulatory risk frameworks is also a plus.
