About the Role
The Company is in need of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to take on a 5-6 month contract assignment. The CFO will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for directing and overseeing all financial operations. This includes job cost accounting, financial planning, compliance, risk management, and operational performance. The successful candidate will also be tasked with building and maintaining relationships with external financial partners, leading the budgeting and forecasting process, and ensuring the company's financial health is protected through effective risk management.
Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred. Significant experience in senior financial leadership, particularly within heavy civil construction, infrastructure, or engineering industries, is essential. The role requires a comprehensive knowledge of construction accounting, cost control practices, and regulatory compliance, as well as advanced expertise in financial systems and enterprise software used in the construction sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leadership, team development, and strong communication skills, with a strategic and analytical mindset. Experience with specific financial and estimating software used in the construction industry is also a strong preference.
