Tax Director
to join our team and lead engagements primarily focused on
pass-through entities . Position Summary
As a
Tax Director , you will play a key leadership role in managing client relationships, supervising tax engagements, and delivering high-quality compliance and advisory services. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in
partnership and S-corporation taxation , with an ability to manage complex engagements and mentor staff. Experience with
multistate taxation
is a significant plus. Key Responsibilities
Manage and review complex tax engagements for pass-through entities (partnerships and S-corporations) Advise clients on tax strategies, entity structuring, and compliance Supervise, train, and mentor staff and senior accountants Maintain and grow client relationships through regular communication and proactive service Conduct technical research on complex tax issues and document findings Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws Manage project timelines and budgets to ensure timely delivery of services Collaborate with partners on client planning and business development initiatives Stay current on tax law changes and apply them to client situations Support firm initiatives, process improvements, and team development Qualifications
10-15 years
of public accounting experience, with a
focus on pass-through entity taxation Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws applicable to partnerships and S-corporations Experience with
multistate taxation
is a plus Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and deliver excellent client service Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills Proficiency with tax preparation and research software (e.g., CCH Axcess, GoSystem, Ultra Tax, etc.) Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; Master’s in Taxation a plus Seniority level
