Tax Manager - North Dallas Location

Our client is a Dallas-based public accounting and advisory firm built around a people first philosophy. With a long-term leader retiring and transitioning a stable book of business, the firm is seeking an experienced Tax Manager who values client interaction, leadership, and a role where contribution is visible and appreciated.
Client Service and Advisory
Manage a portfolio of pass through entity clients, including 1120S and 1065 engagements.
Support high net worth individuals with multi entity structures across industries that include real estate, oil and gas, and professional services.
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, maintaining clear communication through calls, virtual meetings, and periodic in person conversations.
Deliver proactive planning and strategic guidance that deepens client relationships and supports long term outcomes.
Team Leadership
Lead and mentor 1 to 2 tax associates, ensuring strong technical development and timely delivery.
Review work, provide coaching, and support the professional growth of less experienced team members.
Promote a collaborative environment that reflects the firm’s commitment to people, quality, and work life balance.
Technical and Operational Excellence
Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals and pass through entities.
Utilize CCH Axcess for preparation, workflow, and review processes.
Stay current on tax law and industry developments to ensure accuracy and effective advisory work.
Participate in internal process improvements to strengthen efficiency and client experience.
Qualifications
CPA or EA license required.
At least 6+ years of experience in public accounting.
Minimum of 2 to 3 years in a manager level capacity.
Deep technical experience with S corporations, partnerships, and high net worth individual taxation.
Strong familiarity with multi entity structures and advisory focused client service.
Proficiency with CCH Axcess preferred, but not required
Strong communication skills and genuine interest in client interaction.
Based in the Dallas area or open to relocation. Hybrid work required in office typically 1-2 days per week.
