American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) night shift position requiring an active IL license and advanced cardiac skills.Job Details•Work in a Level II Trauma acute care hospital on a 20-bed PCU,•Patient ratio is 1:5 for all shifts,•Primarily adult patient population with focus on cardiac, renal, and respiratory cases,•Performs cardiac monitoring, pre/post cardiac cath and interventions, and cares for chronic/acute renal failure,•Utilizes Cerner EMR; Cerner experience required,•Night shifts (3x12 hours, 18:00-06:30), working every other weekend,•No on-call requirements,•Floating required within hospital and to affiliate hospitals as needed,Job Requirements•Active IL RN license in hand required at time of application,•Minimum 2 years of relevant RN experience required,•Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS (AHA or Red Cross only; RQI not accepted),•Demonstrated cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and advanced IV therapy skills,•Experience with pre/post cardiac cath, continuous IV sedation, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, and emergency medications,•Strong skills in CVA/acute stroke management and care for ventilated patients,•Ability to assist with BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC, arterial line management, blood product administration, ABG interpretation, and suctioning,•Infection prevention and code blue/rapid response experience required,Additional Information•Main duties include monitoring cardiac patients, performing advanced respiratory and renal interventions, and responding to emergencies,•Team structure supports orientation and learning modules to be completed virtually on first day and annually,•Royal blue scrubs required as part of dress code,•No more than 5 days of time-off is automatically approved; additional requests require facility approval,•Candidates must be able to work 2 out of 3 major holidays,•Applicants who have worked as permanent or PRN Memorial employees must have a 12-month gap before applying as a traveler,•First-time travelers are welcome to apply,•Parking permit provided at no cost,),•hash,:• ,
