Responsibilities
Lead and assess Information Technology (IT) opportunities and risks in the context of M&A, including integration and separation of platforms, systems, and technology; develop actionable plans and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Evaluate the technology performance of complex organizations, including front-to-back office systems, and develop strategies for operational efficiency, cost reduction, and digital transformation.
Provide program management (IT Integration management office, IT separation management office) and strategic planning to support the integration or separation of IT operations during mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures—especially in areas such as core infrastructure, and risk systems.
Oversee offshoring and outsourcing of high-cost IT functions, support renegotiation of key vendor contracts (e.g., trading platforms, cloud services), and identify opportunities to enhance IT governance, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance.
Drive the development and presentation of final deliverables, including technology due diligence reports, integration / separation roadmaps, and IT operating model designs.
Support go-to-market strategies, ensure quality delivery of engagements, and support the development of junior team members.
Qualifications
Minimum five years of recent external consulting experience in technology/business consulting or a combination of consulting and financial services technology leadership, with a proven track record of driving IT transformation.
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field from an accredited college/university.
Demonstrated success in leading IT-focused M&A projects with experience in at least two of the following: system integration, platform migration, IT architecture modernization, outsourcing of IT operations, or regulatory technology implementation.
Proficiency in at least two of the following: post-merger IT integration, carve-out separation, process reengineering, offshoring, or IT risk and compliance.
Strong project management skills, excellent consulting fundamentals, and the ability to synthesize complex information for executive audiences.
Willingness and ability to travel as needed to serve client needs.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
