David's Bridal . Alterations Specialists are responsible for completing all fittings and alterations to the high standards of David’s Bridal and report to the Store Manager. They exemplify friendly, knowledgeable, and technical expertise and provide superior customer service. They are members of the store team and demonstrate the values of the David’s Bridal brand. Responsibilities
Welcome all customers with genuine, friendly enthusiasm over the phone, via virtual chats, and in person; communicate clearly and concisely, adapting style to suit customers; problem solve and resolve conflicts. Use all systems to manage the customer flow to deliver a five-star customer experience. Maintain service levels by being prepared, welcoming, meeting needs, and supporting customers; complete operational checklist tasks and address emotional and practical needs. Provide exceptional service to multiple customers at one time and contribute to Five-Star Customer Service store-wide. Proactively address customer concerns with confidence; know when to escalate and partner with the leadership team. Explain how alterations can enhance the dress for events; promote alteration services and personalization options. Assist stylists in closing sales by consulting on gown fit and customization. Maintain store standards to support a flawless shopping experience and comply with Dress Code Policy. Greet and escort alterations customers to and from appointments. Inspect garments altered/steamed/pressed to verify pristine condition before final delivery. Respond promptly to customer questions with product and service information. Build long-term relationships with customers to meet and exceed satisfaction and loyalty. Maintain inventory management by processing special orders and ensuring first quality standards for all merchandise. Ensure alteration pricing aligns with company standards. Manage all alterations, fittings, sewing, steaming, pressing, and spot cleaning of garments to company standards. Resolve customer service issues swiftly and in compliance with company guidelines. Support cash wrap behaviors and process transactions accurately to make every customer feel celebrated. Maintain the alterations room in a clean, organized condition. Perform duties and tasks as assigned by store management. Physical Demands
Occasionally required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods; use hands to handle tools and objects; climb stairs; bend, twist, and reach as part of routine duties. Manual dexterity for sewing, steaming, and operating POS terminals; ability to lift/move up to 10 pounds; good vision and ability to use computer and other devices for long periods. Education & Credentials
High school diploma or equivalent. 1-2 years of retail experience in apparel or specialty store environment. Prior sewing experience, preferably in bridal and/or special occasion production. Prior experience with computerized POS system is a plus. Benefits
