Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join our client's Miami office and provide support to our legal team in managing complex litigation matters. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in handling all phases of litigation, with a willingness to learn new areas of law with a litigation focus. Key Responsibilities: Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation. Draft and file petitions, motions, and other court documents using CM/ECF. Conduct research using PACER and other court databases; maintain case dockets and calendars. Manage case files and organize documentation related to filings, hearings, and deadlines. Process large volumes of documents, including organizing, indexing, and analyzing production. Coordinate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel on case matters and ensure accurate communication flow. Support preparation for meetings, hearings, and trials including preparation of exhibits and summaries. Track deadlines and ensure compliance with all applicable court rules and procedures. Maintain billing records and ensure timely and accurate time entry.
Qualifications: Minimum 3 + years of experience as a paralegal. Willingness to explore and gain expertise in new areas of law with a litigation focus. Strong understanding of federal court rules, including service of process, filing procedures, and deadlines. Familiar with discovery processes and managing document reviews and productions. Experience with trial preparation, including preparing trial binders, exhibit lists, and witness files and coordinating courtroom logistics. Proficient in CM/ECF, PACER, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) applications, Adobe Acrobat, and litigation support software (e.g., Relativity). Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling a high volume of tasks with precision. Ability to work independently, manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines under pressure. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Paralegal certificate preferred, bachelor's degree a plus. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, though not required.
