Under the supervision of the Licensing Program Manager I in the Santa Barbara Child Care Office, the Child Care Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) is responsible for a full range of licensing duties which may include: Develop and implement orientations, training programs; Review applications; Recommend license approval/denial; Perform on-site facility evaluations; Investigate complaints in licensed and unlicensed facilities; Recommend and prepare administrative actions to deny, revoke, and suspend facility licenses. Bilingual Spanish candidates are preferred, but not required. Qualifications and Requirements
Must be subject to fingerprinting and criminal record clearance by DOJ/FBI. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds, climb stairs, sit for extended periods, and use a computer and keyboard. Must be able to travel. Special requirements include designation under the Conflict of Interest Code and fingerprinting clearance by the Department of Justice. You are required to complete employment history on the STD 678 application. Resumes will not replace employment history. If qualifying by education, unofficial transcripts must be included for verification; official transcripts may be requested at hire. Training and Development assignments may be considered based on availability and require prior Hiring Authority approval; assignments are temporary and shall not exceed 24 months. Applicants residing outside California may be admitted to the interview but must provide proof of California residence prior to appointment. Application and Hiring Process
