General Purpose
The Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring our Customers have a positive shopping experience. The Associate greets Customers in a courteous and friendly manner, treats fellow Associates with respect, follows company best practice standards, maintains a clean work area, and ensures proper merchandise presentation. The Associate may perform a range of functions in all areas of the Store as business needs require, and may be assigned additional tasks to help achieve customer service and operational goals.
Essential Functions
- Safety is the top priority; practices safe behaviors at all times.
- Maintain awareness on the sales floor to create a safe environment; keep egress clear and report unsafe conditions to Store Leadership.
- Provide respectful, friendly service; greet Customers and recognize fellow Associates through company programs.
- Assist Customers: register-trained, help with merchandise, answer questions politely and knowledgeably; greet Customers throughout the Store and thank them at checkout.
- Respond promptly to Customer Service calls and resolve issues courteously; involve Store Leadership when needed.
- Represent and support the Company brand at all times.
- Perform cleaning tasks and replenish supplies to maintain clean, organized areas and restrooms; disinfect high-touch areas.
- Maintain professional appearance and comply with dress code.
- Perform daily sizing and recovery to ensure neat, clean, and organized store presentation.
- Expedite newly received merchandise to the sales floor and merchandise items per guidelines; maintain department brand familiarity to assist Customers.
- Understand Loss Prevention practices and merchandise protection standards.
- Demonstrate integrity and safeguard confidential information, cash, and merchandise.
- Follow MOS policies and proper processing of disposals; maintain accuracy in cash handling and transactions.
- Demonstrate sense of urgency and maximize productivity by following Store best practices.

Qualifications And Special Skills Required
- Effective communication with Customers, Associates and Store Leadership in a friendly, respectful and cooperative manner.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
Physical Requirements/Ada
- Ability to use all Store equipment, including PDTs, registers and PCs as required.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the Store up to 100% of working time.
- Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop regularly.
- Ability to push, pull and lift more than 25 pounds; some assignments may require the ability to lift more than 20 pounds in stockroom shifts.

The base pay range for this role is $15.00 - $15.50 per hour. This range depends on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, education, certifications, seniority, and location. The base pay is one component of the total compensation package.
Benefits offered to all Associates include various insurance programs, Associate Discount, 401K, Employee Stock Purchase Program, and other benefits. Some roles may be eligible for bonuses based on individual and business performance.
