Responsibilities

• Ensure customers have a positive shopping experience: greet customers, make eye contact, and provide courteous, friendly service.
• Maintain a clean, organized store environment and proper merchandise presentation; follow all company best practices across work centers.
• Engage in assigned tasks during all working hours and perform a range of functions in all areas of the store as business needs require.
• Handle customer questions politely and knowledgeably; assist with merchandise and register-related tasks; respond promptly to service calls and escalate to Store Leadership when needed.
• Represent and support the Ross brand at all times; adhere to dress code and professional appearance standards.
• Perform cleaning tasks (sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping counters and mirrors) and replenish restroom supplies to maintain merchandise, customer and Team areas.
• Assist with merchandise flow: expedite new receipts to the sales floor and merchandise items per monthly presentation guidelines.
• Support Loss Prevention and merchandise protection standards and follow MOS policies for stock handling and disposals.
• Work with urgency to maximize productivity while following store best practices and streamlined workflows.

Qualifications and Skills

• Ability to effectively communicate with Customers, Associates, and Store Leadership in a friendly, respectful manner.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to use store equipment (PDTs, registers, PC) as required.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store for up to 100% of working time.
• Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop; occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25 pounds.
• Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders and other assigned supplies.
• Stockroom shifts may require lifting more than 20 pounds.
