In this role, you will join the Microsoft Federal organization to address US Government mission, regulatory, and procurement needs, serving in various roles to meet evolving USG requirements. Responsibilities
Operates according to required operational excellence and proven practice standards throughout all sales stages and tools of record (e.g., pipeline updates, time tracking). Collaborates across Microsoft and customer/partner teams to achieve objectives and increase satisfaction. Proactively manages business and technical risks, applying governance to minimize risks. Delivers solutions in line with company methodologies (value-based deliverables, advice, training, technical validation) and prepares customers for operational readiness. Supports change management for long-term adoption to increase satisfaction and drive consumption. Guides customers/partners toward well-architected, secure, resilient, AI-enabled, cost- and performance-optimized solutions. Identifies new opportunities for consumption and expansion, captures customer insights, and maps architecture to business outcomes. Escalates and mitigates blockers to accelerate deployment and value realization. Acts as voice of the customer/partner with Engineering, Product, and internal communities, influencing roadmaps and prioritization. Develops relationships with technical and business decision makers to bridge security, compliance, and risk requirements. Defines customer success conditions and proactively addresses dissatisfaction to improve experience and transformation speed. Customer Centricity
Proactively advocates for customer/partner input and feedback, sharing insights with relevant teams. Translates customer problems into industry solutions aligned with Microsoft strategy, and demonstrates ROI through concepts, MVPs, or rapid prototypes. Supports cross-solution area adoption and builds relationships with CIO/CISO and other CXO roles as needed. Partner Specialization
Identifies opportunities aligned with revenue goals and helps partners grow solution utilization with pre-sales support. Collaborates with GPS to translate opportunities into actions and guides partners in developing repeatable offerings. Technical Leadership
Leads readiness and upskilling, mentors teams, and contributes to Microsoft frameworks and IP development. Provides thought leadership and participates in external events, sharing learnings across internal and external audiences. Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 4+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, IT consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting 4+ years of success in consultative/complex technical sales and deployment projects, architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of cloud-based applications Other Requirements
Security Clearance Requirements: Must meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements; active U.S. Government Top Secret Security Clearance required; clearance verification will be requested prior to offer. Microsoft Cloud Background Check: Pass at hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Citizenship Verification: US citizenship verification required due to citizenship-based restrictions for government work. Education
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 8+ years of experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, IT consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR Masters Degree in same fields AND 6+ years of experience OR equivalent experience. Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google). Professional Cloud Certification in Cloud, Database, Big Data, BI, Data Science, Machine Learning, AI preferred. Experiences
4+ years in a customer-facing role. 4+ years on technical projects. Previous Consulting/Architecture experience in software consulting or professional services is desired. Knowledge of Azure cloud services and general knowledge of competitive cloud offerings. Understanding of enterprise public cloud platforms and partner ecosystems. Compensation and Application
