We are seeking a Senior Cloud Solution Architect to join the Microsoft Federal organization to help customers deploy secure, resilient, AI-enabled cloud solutions that support long-term adoption and business value realization, while aligning with USG requirements. Responsibilities
Operates according to required operational excellence and proven practice standards throughout all sales stages/activities/tools of record (e.g., pipeline updates, time tracking). Collaborates across Microsoft and customer/partner teams to achieve objectives and increase satisfaction. Proactively manages business and technical risks, applies governance principles, and communicates actions to minimize risk. Delivers solutions in line with company methodologies (e.g., value-based deliverables, advice, training, technical validation) to prepare customers for operational readiness and business goals; supports long-term adoption. Guides customers/partners toward well-architected, secure, resilient, AI-enabled, and cost- and performance-optimized solutions to increase retention and expansion opportunities. Proactively identifies new opportunities for Consumption, Usage & Unified Expansion (especially Enhanced Solutions) aligned with customer value and Microsoft capabilities. Captures customer/partner feedback and communicates insights to influence product roadmaps and decisions; collaborates to ensure the Customer Engagement Model is executed. Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 4+ years of experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, IT consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/ support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting. OR equivalent experience. 4+ years of success in consultative/complex technical sales and deployment projects, architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of cloud-based applications. Education
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 8+ years of experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, IT consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 6+ years of experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience. Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google) and Professional Cloud Certification in one or more technologies preferred. Experiences
4+ years experience in a customer-facing role. 4+ years experience working on technical projects. Prior work experience in a Consulting/Architecture role within a software engineering or professional services company is desired. Knowledge of Azure cloud services and general knowledge of competitive cloud services. Understanding of partner ecosystems and ability to leverage partner solutions to solve customer needs. Security clearance requirements
Active U.S. Government Top Secret Security Clearance required. Must meet Microsoft, customer and government screening requirements. Failure to maintain clearance may affect employment. Clearance verification required prior to offer. Microsoft Cloud Background Check required upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Citizenship verification required due to citizenship-based restrictions. Compensation
