The Construction & Facilities Project Manager Remodels is responsible for overseeing store remodels, renovations, and facility maintenance projects across Cavender's locations. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with minimal disruption to store operations. The Project Manager serves as the primary liaison between Cavender's, contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure that Cavender's stores remain updated, functional, and aligned with company standards. Duties and Responsibilities Support the "Cavender's Culture" and drive our Mission, Vision, and Values Manage end-to-end remodel and renovation projects, including design updates, reconfigurations, and capital improvements. Oversee facility maintenance initiatives and develop proactive plans to minimize operational disruptions. Participate in new store project management as needed based on company objectives and priorities. Coordinate with store operations, contractors, and vendors to ensure efficient project execution in open-store environments. Conduct site visits to monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and verify quality standards. Track and manage project schedules, budgets, contracts, and change orders. Serve as the main point of contact for facility-related inquiries and urgent maintenance requests. Lead vendor management, including selection, negotiation, and performance evaluation. Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company policies. Provide regular status updates to leadership on remodel timelines, costs, and deliverables. Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Facilities Management, Project Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. 5+ years of experience in retail remodels, facilities, or project management. Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and facility operations. Proven ability to manage multiple remodel projects in active retail environments. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and vendor management skills. Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Based in Tyler, TX at Cavender's Home Office; travel up to 50% required. Preferred Skills Experience with retail-focused construction and facilities projects. Familiarity with landlord coordination, permitting processes, and lease agreements. Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and facility life cycle planning.
