Water Resources Project Manager

About:

 

We are a prime multi-disciplinary civil engineering firm that has been serving our clients in the public and private sectors in DC-MD-VA for over 30 years. We are experience tremendous growth with about 40 prime on-call contracts with various public sector clients. As such we are seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join our team!

Who you are: 

 

Bachelors degree in civil engineering or related field

10+ years experience in Water Resources Engineering

PE in Maryland or ability to apply for reciprocity

Experience working on Water Resources and Environment projects for federal, state, county, city, or local municipalities

Prior modeling (e.g., Hec-RAS, TR-20, TR-55, HY-8) and design (e.g., drainage, stormwater, erosion and sediment control, coastal, stream restoration) experience in Water Resources and Environment with a functional understanding of other disciplines

Working knowledge of regional marketing and business development activities

Ability to manage staff, review and track project billings, and general office operations

Proficient using Microstation and associated design software with strong computer skills

 

 

What you will be doing:

 

Oversee all design activity from project engineers, design engineers, and CADD technicians, as well as, coordinate design with other engineering and sciences disciplines. Project managers are expected to maintain technical design knowledge and expand capabilities through attendance or membership with various engineering committees or organizations.

 

The project manager will also be responsible for project billing, budget management, scheduling, preparing scope and task proposals, technical writing, man-hour estimates, man-power projections, and client and sub-consultant management. Project managers will require excellent verbal and written communication skills to report project status to senior staff and attend meetings with clients and sub-consultants.
