Mortgage Origination Professionals
to join our team at the FHA Resource Center in Indianapolis, IN. As part of the Leidos Customer Service team, you will support the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and work towards their mission of creating strong, sustainable, inclusive communities and quality affordable homes for everyone. In this role as a Mortgage Origination Customer Service Representative, you will leverage your mortgage background—whether as a Loan Processor, Loan Officer, Underwriter, or similar path—to positively impact people's lives while enhancing your understanding of Federal Housing Administration (FHA) mortgage policies and procedures. Available Positions: Part-time (25 - 29 hours weekly).
Shifts from 10:00 am - 6:30 pm ET in Indianapolis, IN (subject to change based on customer needs).
Your Responsibilities: Deliver outstanding customer service by answering calls and emails from the lending industry and the public regarding FHA guidelines and procedures.
Utilize your mortgage industry knowledge to find answers in a knowledge database for client inquiries.
Follow established operating procedures for various topics and contact channels.
Document all interactions in a database.
Stay updated on FHA mortgage processes and procedures.
What You Need to Succeed: Proficiency in navigating multiple computer systems and applications and utilizing search tools effectively.
Excellent time management skills and reliability.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proper telephone etiquette.
Keyboarding proficiency of at least 40 words per minute.
Required Qualifications: High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
At least 2 years of mortgage origination experience (e.g., loan originator, loan processor, junior underwriter, loan officer).
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a contact center or telephone customer service role.
Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security clearance, including a credit check and background check.
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge and experience with FHA guidelines.
Experience in a contact center environment utilizing omnichannel service.
