The CIO will also be a key member of the senior executive team, contributing to organizational initiatives and programs.
Candidates for the CIO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree strongly preferred, and at least 10 years of information system experience in a healthcare or related setting. A minimum of 5 years in a leadership role and professional certifications in executive healthcare IT leadership are required. The role demands excellent communication, relationship building, and performance management skills, as well as the ability to lead change and drive continual improvement. The CIO will be expected to have a comprehensive knowledge of information technology and the ability to keep abreast of advances in the HIT field, particularly in relation to HIPAA security, privacy, and transactions regulations.
