Manager of R&D Tax Credits and Incentives Advisory . Our Tax Credits & Incentives Advisory (TCIA) Practice is a dynamic team of CPAs and tax law experts, providing exceptional tax planning and advisory services to clients across various industries. In this pivotal role, you will shape the vision, strategies, and action plans to grow our TCIA Practice while managing key resources and executing IRC Section 41 Research Credit projects. Key Qualifications: Expertise in identifying Qualified Research Expenses across diverse sectors. Proficiency in calculating the IRC Section 41 Research Credit. Understanding of Controlled Group rules in relation to research credit calculations. Ability to communicate effectively with tax managers and VPs regarding research credit rules. Experience engaging with technical personnel to address technical uncertainties tied to research. Skill in leading and collaborating with local and national TCIA teams. Record of documenting technical uncertainties and experimentation processes for new or improved products, processes, or software designs. Capability to delegate work effectively while also contributing directly to projects. Commitment to mentoring Staff and Senior Associates. As part of this role, you'll collaborate closely with our TCIA group, expanding our capabilities in: Accounting Methods Cost Segregation Energy Credits Energy Efficiency Deductions State Credits and Incentives Your Experience: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, engineering, technology, or a related field. Advanced degree or certification (CPA, MST, MAcc, LLM, or JD) is mandatory. A minimum of 5 years in federal tax compliance or tax consulting services. Strong Excel skills, including experience with Pivot tables and VLOOKUPs. Enthusiasm for engaging in strategic planning initiatives. Excellent project management and organizational abilities. Preferred experience with accounting methods, including capitalization and depreciation regulations, unit property evaluations, cost segregation studies, revenue recognition, and familiarity with Form 3115.
