As the Manager of R&D Tax Credits and Incentives, you will play a crucial role in shaping our growth strategies for the TCIA Practice. You will oversee internal resources and lead engagements related to IRC Section 41 Research Credit.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
Expertise in identifying Qualified Research Expenses across various industries.
Proficiency in calculating the IRC Section 41 Research Credit.
Understanding of Controlled Group rules in relation to research credit calculations.
Ability to effectively communicate with tax managers and VPs regarding research credit regulations.
Experience collaborating with technical personnel to address uncertainties in research projects.
Leadership skills to guide local and national TCIA teams.
Experience documenting technical uncertainties and experimental processes related to new or improved products, processes, or software designs.
Capability to delegate tasks effectively while also engaging directly in projects.
A commitment to mentoring Staff and Senior Associates.
Additionally, you will work closely with TCIA colleagues to expand our practice in the following areas:
Accounting Methods
Cost Segregation
Energy Credits
Energy Efficiency Deductions
State Credits and Incentives
What you bring to this role:
A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, engineering, technology, or a related field.
An advanced degree or certification such as CPA, MST, MAcc, LLM, or JD.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in federal tax compliance or consulting services.
Strong Excel skills, including experience with PivotTables and VLOOKUPs.
A proactive interest in strategic planning initiatives.
Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
Preferred experience with accounting methods including uniform capitalization rules, tangible property regulations, depreciation, unit of property reviews, cost segregation, revenue recognition, and Form 3115.

The salary range for this position is from $105,000 to $163,400, depending on various factors including role responsibilities, experience, education, and location.
