Supply Chain Import/Export Specialist

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a company based in Portland, OR, to hire a Supply Chain Import/Export Specialist. We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to oversee international shipping documentation and logistics coordination. In this role, you will manage container scheduling, ensure compliance and accuracy in documentation, and collaborate closely with global teams to support smooth import/export operations. Location: Onsite in Portland, OR Duration: Contract with potential to convert to permanent Hours/Schedule: Full-time, MondayFriday, flexible start time between 7:008:30 AM Compensation: $28$35 per hour, depending on experience Responsibilities: Schedule and track ocean containers, monitoring shipping volumes and port requirements Manage documentation for international shipments to ensure compliance and accuracy Communicate regularly with overseas teams (particularly Australia) on port issues, max weight capacity, and logistics challenges Leverage advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs required) for reporting, analysis, and documentation accuracy Utilize Sage 500 for accounting and Sea Trade for sales/purchasing (experience helpful; company is reviewing new systems) Collaborate across departments and step in to support broader logistics and documentation needs Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in international logistics and documentation Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs (assessment required) Experience with Sage 500 or similar ERP/accounting systems preferred Bilingual in Spanish or Mandarin strongly preferred Excellent prioritization, problem-solving, and communication skills Flexible, team-oriented, and able to adapt to evolving logistics needs Pay Details: $28.00 to $34.00 per hour Search managed by: Jake Anderson Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
