Work-Study Student Associate
The College of Liberal Arts Human Resources team is seeking a Student Technician to assist our department with administrative functions. The primary goal of this position is to aid and support the Human Resources department in the College of Liberal Arts. The position will provide customer service to students, staff, and faculty over the phone, in person, through email and online using our virtual communication platform, as well as greet in-person as needed. This position would be expected to learn general administrative functions including HR knowledge. Responsibilities Perform various clerical duties including imaging and filing of official records, electronic filing, and special projects and other duties will be assigned, as needed. Create spreadsheets and electronic templates for various projects. Arrange and organize materials for review by COLA HR staff members. Provide clerical support, proofreading, photocopying, and filing. Other duties as assigned - perform additional related tasks as needed to support the HR function and college operations. Required Qualifications Demonstrated customer service abilities. Strong organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office (notably Microsoft Excel). Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and safeguard confidential information. Additional requirements include Microsoft Office and Mac proficiency. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Clerical experience and experience in an office setting. Scheduled Weekly Hours Up to 19 hours per week depending on office needs. Salary Range $12.00 hourly + depending on qualifications Working Conditions Typical office environment In-person position; must be available for onsite work.
