Harris County $20.00 Hourly Houston, TX Regular Full-time Position Description Duties and Responsibilities: Enters court data in Harris County's Justice Courts Information System in Odyssey and JWEB. Answering and assisting multi-line switchboard, performs extensive data entry and files in numeric and alpha order. Works with the public and processing payments for traffic, criminal, and civil cases. Performs other duties as assigned. High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent from an accredited educational institution. Minimum (2) years of paid Clerical experience. Bilingual skills in English and Spanish. Heavy filing and some experience working with computers and handling a multi-line phone system. Basic computer knowledge in a Microsoft Windows based environment. Possesses strong oral and written communications skills. Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented, punctual, and dependable. Capable of multi-tasking, handling high pressure, fast-paced and stressful situations in a calm and professional manner. Ability to interact and communicate with individuals of diverse background. Ability to work well with the public and other staff members. Proper English grammar, punctuation, spelling, and business writing. Physical: ability to lift up to forty (40) pounds. Uses standard office equipment such as computer, copiers, and fax machine. A valid U.S. driver's license and social security card.
