Tier 2 IT Support Specialist (Mac & Windows) Job at TEKsystems in Portland

Overview

A Large E-Commerce Company in Portland, OR is hiring a Desktop Support Technician for a long‑term opportunity.

This role focuses on on‑site and remote desktop support with a mix of MAC and Windows environments, primarily MAC. The position involves supporting a global workforce, asset management, and end‑user technology support including conferencing and printing.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot in MAC and Windows environments/applications (primarily MAC).
• Provide 80% Tier II onsite desktop support and 20% Tier I virtual chat support.
• Support a global workforce both onsite and for remote workers.
• Ensure data integrity in the Asset Management system; perform asset management tasks, including inventory, audits and disposals.
• Proactively refresh End of Life (EOL) systems.
• Provision computer assets in the new hire onboarding process (onsite and remote).
• Monitor and remediate client health (SCCM, antivirus and related).
• Support video/teleconference technology, printers, and various hardware (Windows and Mac).

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of desktop support experience in a medium to large end‑user environment.
• Experience supporting both macOS and Windows, plus Active Directory.
• Experience with ticketing systems, Active Directory, VPN, WLAN, LAN, and basic TCP/IP knowledge.
• Proficient with Windows and Mac hardware and operating systems; Unix/Linux a plus.
• Knowledge of universal client image creation, management and testing.
• Knowledge of client and server operating systems and machine architectures in Windows; knowledge of Mac client/server architecture.

Pay and Benefits

• Pay range: $25.00 – $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be limited by elections, plan, or program terms.
