Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology, as well as experience with various dental software systems. This role involves providing chairside assistance during procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a sterile environment in accordance with infection control protocols. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring efficient workflow and patient comfort. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques. Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain accurate medical documentation, including patient records and medical histories. Utilize EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for scheduling appointments and managing patient information. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance the efficiency of procedures. Monitor vital signs and assist with medical imaging as needed. Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional care in general dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality. Qualification Proficient in using dental software such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation. Experience with 3D scanners and other advanced dental technology is advantageous. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Certification in dental assisting is preferred; however, candidates with relevant experience will also be considered.
