We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Orthodontic Clinical Team Lead to join our dynamic dental practice. This pivotal role involves overseeing the clinical operations of our orthodontic department, ensuring that all procedures align with best practices and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental assisting, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. Duties Lead and mentor the orthodontic clinical team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Oversee the implementation and use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, including Eaglesoft and Dentrix. Coordinate chairside assisting duties, including four-handed dentistry techniques and medical imaging procedures. Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical history for accuracy. Manage infection control protocols and ensure aseptic techniques are followed in all clinical procedures. Assist in the development of treatment plans in collaboration with orthodontists, utilizing knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy. Provide training on the use of 3D scanners and other advanced dental technologies. Maintain accurate medical documentation and records for all patients, ensuring compliance with medical coding standards. Support pediatric patients by applying knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles during treatment. Experience Proven experience in a dental clinic setting, particularly in orthodontics or related fields such as general dentistry, prosthodontics, or endodontics. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic is preferred; experience with Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable. Strong understanding of medical terminology, dental terminology, and infection control practices. Experience in chairside assisting and familiarity with X-ray procedures is essential. Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and medical documentation processes is a plus. Previous experience working with pediatric patients is advantageous.
