We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. This position involves assisting dentists during procedures, managing patient records, and maintaining a clean and organized environment in accordance with infection control protocols. Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and sterilize instruments, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control standards. Take dental X-rays and perform medical imaging as needed, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records, including EMR systems such as Dentrix and Eaglesoft. Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, confirmations, and follow-ups as a dental receptionist. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Monitor vital signs and assist with pediatric dentistry when necessary. Support various dental specialties including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatrics. Utilize a 3D scanner for imaging when required, demonstrating knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy. Skills Proficiency in EMR systems (Dentrix, Eaglesoft) and familiarity with HIPAA regulations. Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, and infection control practices. Experience in chairside assisting and knowledge of four-handed dentistry techniques. Ability to perform X-rays and other medical imaging procedures effectively. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients of all ages, particularly in pediatric settings. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills for managing medical records and documentation accurately. Familiarity with medical coding is a plus but not required.
