Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mobile Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, along with experience in working with various types of heavy equipment and vehicles. This role requires mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently. The Mobile Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment is operating at peak performance and adhering to safety standards. Duties Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including diagnostics and troubleshooting. Work on a variety of heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, and farm machinery. Conduct repairs on automotive systems including transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension, HVAC systems, and brake systems. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for assembly and repair tasks. Interpret schematics and technical manuals to effectively diagnose issues. Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their equipment needs. Experience Previous experience as a mechanic with a focus on diesel engines is required. Familiarity with fleet diagnostics and mechanical repair techniques. Experience operating heavy equipment and performing maintenance on industrial machinery is beneficial. Knowledge of electrical systems, fabrication skills, and soldering abilities are a plus. Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks associated with the role. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
