We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless patient experiences by managing administrative tasks, coordinating care plans, and providing exceptional customer service. This position requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in medical terminology, and familiarity with various Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Duties Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and providing information about services. Schedule patient appointments and manage the front desk operations efficiently. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform medical billing and coding tasks, including CPT coding, ICD-9, and ICD-10 documentation. Verify insurance coverage and assist patients with medical collections as needed. Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before submission. Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement care plans for patients. Utilize EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix to manage patient information effectively. Provide clerical support including filing, typing, and managing multi-line phone systems. Ensure a welcoming environment for patients by demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills. Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications: Previous experience in a medical office or clinic setting is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology and health information management practices. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications and EHR systems.
